CCD is a creative, user-focussed design & human factors/ergonomics consultancy based in central London, working across the UK and internationally. Our practice uses a combination of Ergonomists, Psychologists, Designers and Architects to provide an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to the design of systems, products, workspaces and buildings.
We have been applying this pragmatic blend of skills to bring benefits to our clients for over 30 years. We work in air, rail, and road transport sectors, the nuclear, oil and gas industries, public and private utilities, manufacturing companies, the emergency services, as well as security, healthcare and research sector companies. Our clients include Network Rail, CERN, Siemens, BAA, Transport for London, Thames Water, Home Office, Metropolitan Police, NATS, Eurostar and Exxon Mobil.
We operate two divisions – CCD Human Factors and CCD Design.
CCD Human Factors advises business, government and other organisations on how to improve efficiency and reduce human error by optimising work environments, systems & processes. Our work includes:

- Modelling and predicting how people will perform including workload and human error assessments.
- Establishing how people behave through practical applied research.
- Evaluating how workspaces are designed using specialist human 3D CAD analysis.
CCD Design is a design consultancy that puts people and the science of ergonomics at the heart of designing complex buildings, workspaces and products. CCD is a world leader in the design control rooms and command & control systems. We offer services in:
