Human Factors & Work Design

The consultancy has had considerable experience of research/application in industrial and commercial sectors including steel, coal, manufacturing (food, automotive components, engine assembly etc.), aerospace, transport, newspapers and finance covering over 40 clients.
Experience includes upper limb disorders and manual handling, workstation design, personal protective clothing, airstream helmet development, process control, systems analysis, machine evaluations and man/machine design, physiological and environmental measurements and the evaluation of safety systems. Registered as a consultant with Scottish Enterprise (Scottish Electronics Forum), a consultant with the DTI Manufacturing and Design Initiatives, and a subcontractor with the Design Council until the scheme ended in 1995.
