This is a two day course.
This course incorporates several practical exercises and gives participants chance to conduct an assessment under the supervision of the trainer. Topics covered include:
- Introduction to ergonomics
- An introduction to The Health and Safety [Display Screen Equipment] Regulations 1992 (as amended 2002)
- Visual problems - causes and solutions
- Musculoskeletal problems - causes and solutions
- Environmental problems - causes and solutions
- An introduction to workstation assessments
- Practical workstation assessment procedures
- Conduct workstation assessment and discuss results
- Review and action planning procedures.
Assessment is in two parts:
- A written assessment, based on multiple-choice questions, on the last day of the course.
- A practical work-based project carried out after the course.
System Concepts will provide comprehensive course manual and checklists. The IEHF provides a certificate to all participants who successfully complete the assessment.
There are no pre-requisites.
System Concepts run this course in-house at a client's own premises. It is also offered as a public course through the British Institute of Facilities Management.
Cost
The course costs £3,200 +VAT for up to 16 participants, giving a cost per head of £200 +VAT for a fully attended course.
